The 5-days Nyungwe Chimpanzee trek combines massive and breath taking canopy walks and the tracking of the colobus Monkey tracking. During your 5-days Nyunguwe Chimpanzee trek, you will also historical treasures of Rwanda like the palace in Nyanza, Gisakura tea Estate

Furthermore, the canopy walks of the Nyunguwe forest national park is a suspended bridge that covers about 160 via the lush montane rain forest. The canopy walks is one of extraordinary experiences that offers a spectacular view of the ancient forest tree tops

This tour itinerary is available annually and it can be made as a solo trip or group trip. The Nyungwe forest is  a home of a bour 400 chimpanzees. A detailed 5-days Nyunguwe Chimpanzee Trek

Day 1: Transfer from Kigali to Nyunguywe Chimpanzee Trek

Your first day of your 5-days Nyunguwe Chimpanze Trek will start with a transfer from Kigali to Nyunguwe forest. It will approximately take a 6 hour drive south-west from Kigali through through the local Rwandan hills. As taking the journey, you can request to stop you at some of the ancient museums in Nyanze or Butare. You will reach at the lodge during evening times , you will have dinner and then an over night stay at your lodge

Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking experience 5-days Nyunguywe chimpanzee trek

Early in the morning after your morning breakfast, your guide will take you to the headquarters of the park were you will be briefed about the dos and the don’ts. Then the park ranger will take you through the chimpanzee trekking experience. You will trek into the dense montane jungle for 2 to 5 hours and then you will strictly spend 1 hour in the presence of the wild Chimpanzee feed, groom, and play. This will surely creates the unforgettable moments.

Day 3 Canopy walks & Monkey trekking for the 5-days Nyunguywe chimpanzee trek

In the morning for your 3rd day of your 5 days, you will have your morning breakfast, then you will start your morning walks on the famous metal high bridge that is with the Nyunguwe forest ravine. You have a break for lunch. After you will go for the afternoon colobus monkey trek to view the amazing monkey that appear in 400 playful black and white colobus primates

Day 4: Water fall Hike or Leisure exploration

Following the early breakfast, you have the got the chance to either trek the Kamiranzovu waterfall trail or take a peaceful nature walk to spot the endemic bird species. The water fall at Kamiranzovu is a breath taking experience. Also you learn about the local culture with in the place.  As the day goes by, you will relax at your lodge then in the evening you will explorer the tea plantation near the Gisakura

Day:5 Returning drive to Kigali

As the last day of your 5 days Nyunguwe Chimpanzee trek, in the morning you will enjoy break fast, then check out of the lodge to embark on returning back to Kigali. You can either drop off at your hotel or go straight to Kigali international airport for your departure flight
